This is a reissue 1987x Marshall. This amp was modified by the "Tone Man" to bring it as close as possible to the original Plexi specs. A THD Hot Plate was used to bring the volume down to a useable levels. The THD cabinet was used on "Rollercoaster"

This is a 1965 Deluxe reverb. I bought this in 1997 shortly after my mother died so it has some sentimental value. It is great amp and is VERY loud for a low wattage amp. I have since replaced the original speaker with a Weber. The THD hot plate really works well with this amp.

Here are pedals I used during the Blue Electric Cool sessions. I usually only had the pedal in line when they where being used to cut down on noise and signal loss.

This is my main recording cabinet. This single 12 Bogner cabinet has proved to be very most consistent in capturing great tones. The cabinet is loaded with a Celetion Vintage 30 spearker.

Dave on his Bass Rig: "I used an Ibanez 5-string. We recorded the bass direct but live I use a SWR head into a large Mesa Boogie cabinet.

The drum kit used on Blue Electric Cool was a 1991 dark plum Gretsch with Yamaha hardware and R.I.M.S. Rob uses Remo Drum heads exclusively and a Gibralter rack. The bass drum is 22", 8",10" rack toms and 12",14" floor toms.

Snare drums used were, his current favorite, a 14"x6" wood Vintage Series World Max and a 14"x6" wood Pacific Drum Co.with wood rims. They both sound incredible and it is often tough to choose which one to use. The wood rims make side stick use very loud and clear.

Cymbals were a mix of mostly Zildjians with 13' KZ hi-hats,20" hand hammered K custom ride,16" thin crash, 18" China Trash, 10" & 8" splashes. One 17" Buzin crash and one 18" Sabian heavy crash. The double bass drum pedals are old Tama's with Sonor wood beaters and a Tama Iron Cobra hi-hat stand. Sticks used were 5A and 7A nylon tip.
